Simplifi Review 2026: Pricing, Pros, Cons and Alternatives

What Quicken Simplifi costs in its first year, what its page leaves out at renewal, and how four rival budgeting apps compare on the same billing terms.

TL;DR

Simplifi is the cheapest of the five budgeting apps priced here in year one, at $3.99 a month billed yearly, but only for new members who order directly from Quicken by November 6, 2026.

Quicken's page does not print the renewal price, and the membership renews at then-current rates, so the second year is unknown. Investment tracking, projected cash flow and a retirement planner come on the same plan, and the plan covers one other person.

Copilot Money, at $95 a year, is the nearest rival on list price. YNAB is the better pick for a budgeting method and a 34-day test that needs no card.

Quicken's Simplifi page leads with a monthly rate well below its struck-through regular price, and that gap is the whole pitch.

This review checks what you pay across a full year, what the page leaves out at renewal, and whether one plan with investments and cash flow is worth more than the lowest sticker.

Toolradar data: of the 69 personal finance tools we track, 62% are free, freemium or open source, as of October 10, 2026.

A paid budgeting app has to justify its price against that free field, so the first-year offer matters as much as the feature list.

The personal finance ranking shows the full field.

What is Quicken Simplifi?

Quicken Simplifi is a personal finance app from Quicken. It connects bank, card and investment accounts, then shows spending, a spending plan, savings goals, and reminders for bills and subscriptions.

Quicken's page says the app connects to over 14,000 financial institutions.

Quicken sells other products too, but this review covers only Simplifi.

Its spending plan does a different job from the YNAB Method, which asks you to give every dollar a job.

Toolradar keeps profiles for Monarch Money, YNAB and Copilot Money, so the closest rivals are one click away in our directory.

How Quicken Simplifi works

Setup is a bank login for each account. Transactions are categorized automatically, and the spending plan, savings goals and bill reminders all read from the same data.

Projected cash flow and a retirement planner sit on the same plan, so the forward-looking view and the monthly check live in one app.

Sharing uses the spaces and sharing feature, which covers one other person. Quicken says that person can be a partner, a financial advisor or anyone you trust.

That makes two people in total. A couple fits, but a couple plus an adviser who needs separate access does not.

Quicken Simplifi key features

Investment tracking with cost basisEssential
Quicken's page lists cost basis, performance analysis and real-time quotes inside the one plan. If you want holdings next to your spending, that removes a second app. If you only budget, you pay for a feature you will not open.
Projected cash flow and retirement planner
Projected cash flow shows where the balance is heading, and the retirement planner projects savings. Both sit on the same plan, so there is no higher tier to buy for them. They matter only if you look forward more often than you look back.
Spending plan, goals and remindersEssential
The spending plan, savings goals and bill and subscription reminders read from the same transactions. This monthly check decides whether the app gets opened every week, which is what makes a subscription worth keeping.
Bank and card connections
Quicken's page does not list its institutions one by one, so search for your own bank, card and brokerage before you pay.
One shared seat
Spaces and sharing covers one other person, who can be a partner, a financial advisor or anyone you trust. It is one seat, not a household plan, so a larger household needs to check other options before it buys.

Quicken Simplifi pricing

Methodology: every price below was read on the vendor's own website on October 10, 2026. Quicken's Simplifi page shows dollar prices on its U.S. site.

Monthly equivalents divide the annual price by 12 and round to the cent.

Quicken's Simplifi page shows one plan at the first-year monthly rate, billed annually, with the $6.99 monthly rate crossed out.

The offer is for the first year only, for new memberships, and only when you order directly from Quicken by November 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.

The page does not print the renewal price.

The membership renews at then-current rates, and you can cancel before the renewal date.

The footnote also warns that the final price may differ from the monthly discounted price multiplied by 12.

On that multiplication, the first year comes to $47.88, and a full year at the crossed-out $6.99 rate comes to $83.88.

Check the total on Quicken's checkout before you pay, because the page does not promise the monthly math.

Put the five apps on the same scenario, one adult paying yearly.

Simplifi costs about $47.88 for year one on its offer.

Monarch lists $99.99 a year, or about $69.99 with its WELCOME code for 30% off annual Core if the code still works.

Copilot Money lists $95 a year, Tiller charges $99 a year after its trial, and YNAB charges $109 a year.

Simplifi is the cheapest of the five in year one.

If it renewed at the crossed-out rate, it would still be the cheapest, but Quicken does not say what it renews at, so that is the number to ask about.

Who Quicken Simplifi is for

Simplifi fits one person, or a couple sharing one seat, who wants a low first year with investments and cash flow in the same app.

It suits someone who wants a forward-looking view of cash more than a strict budgeting method, and anyone who already holds investments and wants them next to spending.

Skip it if you need a free plan or a free trial. Skip it if more than two people need the same accounts.

Skip it if the renewal price is the number you need, since Quicken does not print it.

The bottom line

Simplifi is worth the first year if you buy direct from Quicken by November 6, 2026, you are one person or a couple, and you can accept a renewal price that is not printed.

On the monthly rate, the first year comes to about $47.88, the lowest paid year among the five apps here.

Check the renewal price before you buy, because Quicken's page does not print it.

If the renewal lands above Copilot Money's yearly list price, most of the value was the first-year discount.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Simplifi cost in 2026?

Quicken's Simplifi page shows $3.99 a month billed annually for the first year, with $6.99 a month crossed out. Checked on October 10, 2026, the offer is for new memberships ordered directly from Quicken by November 6, 2026. The page does not print the renewal price, so check it before you buy.

Is there a free version of Simplifi?

No. The Simplifi page lists no free plan and no free trial. The first real test is a paid year, so read the cancellation terms before you buy. Copilot Money offers a one-month trial, and YNAB offers a 34-day trial that needs no card on its site.

Can a partner use Simplifi with me?

Yes, but only one other person. Quicken's spaces and sharing feature covers one other person, who can be a partner, a financial advisor or anyone you trust. A couple fits on the plan. A couple plus an adviser who needs separate access does not.

Is Simplifi worth it compared with Monarch Money or YNAB?

For one person or a couple who wants a low first-year price and investment tracking in one app, yes. Monarch Money and YNAB both print their full annual prices, and each costs more than twice Simplifi's first-year estimate. YNAB is the better pick for a budgeting method and a free test that needs no card.

Does Simplifi track investments?

Quicken's page says the plan includes investment tracking with cost basis, performance analysis and real-time quotes, plus projected cash flow and a retirement planner. The page does not say how many accounts a plan covers, so confirm your brokerage is supported before you pay.

How many banks does Simplifi connect to?

Quicken's page says over 14,000 financial institutions. It does not list them, so search for your own bank, card and brokerage before you pay. Connections are the first thing to test, because the rest of the app depends on them.
