Bizee Review 2026: Is the $0 LLC Plan Worth It?

What Bizee's three LLC packages cost after the state fee, which add-ons renew every year, and when ZenBusiness, LegalZoom, Stripe Atlas or Tailor Brands is the better buy.

TL;DR

Bizee is worth it on the Basic package for a founder who wants the articles filed for $0 plus the state fee, gets the EIN free from the IRS, and remembers that the registered agent renews at $149 a year after the free first year. Standard at $199 adds the EIN, the operating agreement and faster processing, and Premium at $299 adds contracts, a domain, a business phone and lifetime compliance alerts.

The catch is the renewal, not the formation. The free package, the free agent year and the free month of virtual address all convert to annual or monthly charges unless you cancel them. ZenBusiness also starts free but bills its paid tiers and its agent every year, LegalZoom's Managed Service package costs $249 and its advisor subscription renews at $49 a month, Stripe Atlas is a flat $500 for a Delaware entity, and Tailor Brands prices its paid tiers per year.

  • Updated: October 27, 2026
  • Best for: A founder who files in one state, wants a one-time fee and will manage the renewals.
  • Price as of October 27, 2026: Basic $0, Standard $199, Premium $299, each plus state fee, one-time. Agent $149/yr after year one
  • A real free formation with a one-time fee, where the registered agent and virtual address renew unless you cancel.
  • Basic package: No formation fee, state fee only, charged once
  • Registered agent after year one: $149 a year, renews annually
  • EIN on Basic: $70 add-on, free on Standard and Premium
  • Alternatives covered: ZenBusiness, LegalZoom, Stripe Atlas, Tailor Brands

Pros

  • The formation fee is charged once on every package, where ZenBusiness and Tailor Brands bill their paid tiers every year.
  • Standard bundles the EIN, the operating agreement and two-week processing for less than LegalZoom's Managed Service package.
  • The order form prices every add-on and both renewals in dollars, so the first-year total is visible before you pay.

Cons

  • The registered agent renews yearly after the free year, and the virtual address monthly after the free month, unless cancelled.
  • Basic buyers pay for an EIN the IRS issues at no charge, and the pricing page itself prints no add-on prices.
  • Bizee prints no flat fee for its annual report service, and compliance alerts for that deadline sit on Premium only.
Basic packageNo formation fee, state fee only, charged once
Registered agent after year one$149 a year, renews annually
EIN on Basic$70 add-on, free on Standard and Premium
Best forA founder who files in one state and gets the EIN from the IRS directly

The formation fee is the smallest number on the bill, so judge Bizee on what renews. A free package is real, and Bizee's own order page says the formation fee is charged once. The money sits in the registered agent, the virtual address and the add-ons a Basic buyer clicks through at checkout, and that is where the renewal complaints about the company, formerly Incfile, come from. A founder who treats the checkout like a menu rather than a bundle pays little; one who accepts every default pays every year.

Methodology: we read Bizee's pricing page and its order form with the package comparison, plus the formation pricing pages of ZenBusiness, LegalZoom, Stripe Atlas and Tailor Brands, on October 17, 2026. Prices are USD and exclude state filing fees, which every vendor on this page passes through. Where a vendor prints no figure for a service, this review says so.

Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, compares Bizee against 10 other entity management tools as of October 2026, where Bizee carries a free plan and is listed as an alternative to 2 tools, joint 7th of 11 on that measure (Bizee on Toolradar). A free plan is common in this category, so the ranking below turns on renewals and on what each package bundles.

What is Bizee?

Bizee is an LLC and corporation formation service that files the articles of organization with the state, acts as registered agent, and sells the documents and filings a new company needs afterward: EIN, operating agreement, annual reports, Form 2553 for an S Corp election, foreign qualification and amendments. The company rebranded from Incfile and keeps a page on that change. Its pricing page lists three packages, Basic, Standard and Premium, each plus the state fee and each with one free year of registered agent service.

The order form fills in what the pricing page leaves out. Every package includes preparing and filing the articles, unlimited name searches, the free agent year and a free first month of virtual address. Standard adds the EIN, the operating agreement, unlimited phone and email support and processing in about two weeks instead of four to six. Premium adds business contract templates, a domain name and email for a year, a business phone number, lifetime compliance alerts and priority support.

Toolradar profiles the direct competitors: ZenBusiness, LegalZoom, Stripe Atlas and Tailor Brands. For the full ranking on this site, see best LLC formation services.

How Bizee works

Start by picking the state, because the order form prints no state fee until you do. Bizee's guide puts annual report costs at $10 to $500 depending on the state, and the formation fee itself ranges widely, so the state decides more of the first-year bill than the package. Our cost to start an LLC guide and Delaware vs Wyoming comparison cover the state side.

Then pick the package, and read each add-on as a line item. On Basic the order form prices the EIN at $70, the operating agreement at $99, a banking resolution at $35 and business contract templates at $150. The IRS issues an EIN at no charge on its own site, so a Basic buyer who applies directly skips that line. Standard folds the EIN and the operating agreement into its price; Premium folds in the contracts too.

Then watch the two services that continue. The registered agent is free for twelve months and then renews annually at the yearly rate above. The virtual address is free for the first month and continues at $29 a month. Bizee's FAQ says both are optional to continue, which means the founder cancels, not Bizee. A business that never needs mail handling should drop the virtual address in month one.

Processing time is the last variable. Basic runs on the state's standard queue, four to six weeks in Bizee's wording. Standard moves to about two weeks and Premium to about four days, with expedited filing priced by state for Basic buyers who want it alone. The registered agent market is covered in best registered agent services and what a registered agent costs.

Bizee key features

One-time formation feeEssential
Bizee's order form says the Basic, Standard or Premium price is charged once and never again for formation. The recurring money is the agent, the virtual address and any monthly add-on.
Registered agent free for a year, then yearlyEssential
Every package includes twelve months of agent service, and the order form prices the renewal per year after that. A founder who acts as their own agent after year one avoids the charge.
EIN and operating agreement sit on Standard
Basic buyers pay for the EIN and the operating agreement as add-ons, which together cost less than the step to Standard only if you skip faster processing.
Virtual address and compliance alerts
A free month of virtual address continues as a monthly charge unless cancelled. Lifetime compliance alerts, which flag annual report deadlines, are a Premium feature.

Bizee pricing

Bizee's pricing page, read on October 17, 2026, lists Basic, Standard and Premium at the prices in the table below, each plus the state fee, and its order form prices the add-ons and the renewals. The formation fee is one-time; the agent renews yearly after the free year; the virtual address continues at $29 a month after the free month. Bizee prints no flat fee for its annual report filing service on its service page, so ask for the number at checkout.

A two-year scenario shows where the money goes. A Basic buyer who applies for the EIN at the IRS, writes their own operating agreement and cancels the virtual address pays nothing to Bizee in year one and the agent renewal in year two, plus state fees. A Basic buyer who accepts the EIN and operating agreement add-ons pays $169 in year one, close to Standard, without Standard's faster processing. A Premium buyer pays the package once and the agent renewal in year two, with the domain and business phone expiring after twelve months.

The alternatives price the same job in different shapes. ZenBusiness starts free, but its Pro and Premium plans renew every year at their purchase price, its registered agent is a yearly add-on at $199 a year, and its Worry-Free Compliance is free for a year then renews at the same yearly rate. LegalZoom lists Basic free, Managed Service at $249 with business advisors that renew at $49 a month after 30 days, and Expert Service at $299 with an attorney and accountant team that renews at $99 a month after 30 days. Stripe Atlas is a flat $500 for a Delaware LLC or C corporation with the first agent year included and $100 a year after. Tailor Brands lists Lite free, Essential and Elite as yearly subscriptions, and a bookkeeping trial that becomes $39 a month. The Stripe Atlas review and doola review cover the Delaware and non-resident routes.

Bizee pros and cons

What we like

  • The formation fee is charged once on every package, where ZenBusiness and Tailor Brands bill their paid tiers every year.
  • Standard bundles the EIN, the operating agreement and two-week processing for less than LegalZoom's Managed Service package.
  • The order form prices every add-on and both renewals in dollars, so the first-year total is visible before you pay.

What could be better

  • The registered agent renews yearly after the free year, and the virtual address monthly after the free month, unless cancelled.
  • Basic buyers pay for an EIN the IRS issues at no charge, and the pricing page itself prints no add-on prices.
  • Bizee prints no flat fee for its annual report service, and compliance alerts for that deadline sit on Premium only.

Who Bizee is for

Bizee fits a founder forming one LLC in their home state who wants a one-time fee and is willing to manage two renewals. The Basic package costs nothing beyond the state fee if you get the EIN from the IRS and write your own operating agreement, and Standard is the sensible step for anyone who wants both documents and a two-week filing without clicking through add-ons. A founder who will keep a professional agent long term should compare Bizee's renewal against the agent-only providers in our registered agent ranking.

Skip Bizee if the entity is a Delaware startup raising money, where Stripe Atlas bundles the equity paperwork for one flat fee; if you want annual reports and compliance filings included every year, where Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness price that in; or if you never want to think about a renewal date. A non-US founder has a different checklist, covered in how to form a US LLC as a non-resident and the Stripe Atlas alternatives page.

The bottom line

Buy Basic if you will handle the EIN and the operating agreement yourself, buy Standard if you will not, and cancel the virtual address in month one either way. Bizee's one-time formation fee beats the yearly subscriptions at ZenBusiness and Tailor Brands for a founder who keeps the company for years, and its agent renewal is lower than ZenBusiness's. Stripe Atlas is the better buy only for a Delaware startup.

Before you pay, confirm three things on Bizee's order form: your state's filing fee once the state is selected, the annual report service fee, which the site does not print, and the renewal date on the registered agent so the charge does not surprise you a year later.

This page is general information, not personalized financial advice. Formation prices, renewals and state fees change, so confirm current terms with each provider before you file.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bizee worth it in 2026?

Yes for a founder who wants the articles filed for the state fee alone, applies for the EIN at the IRS and cancels the virtual address after the free month. The registered agent renews yearly after the free first year, so the service is worth it when you plan for that charge or replace the agent before it renews.

How much does Bizee really cost?

Basic is free, Standard $199 and Premium $299, each plus the state fee and each charged once, as read on Bizee's pricing page on October 17, 2026. On Basic the EIN is a $70 add-on and the operating agreement $99. After year one the registered agent is $149 a year and the virtual address $29 a month unless you cancel them.

Is the Bizee free LLC plan a scam?

No. Bizee's order form says the formation fee is a one-time charge, and Basic includes the filing, name searches and a free agent year. The complaints come from renewals: the agent and the virtual address continue after their free periods unless cancelled, and Basic buyers who accept the EIN and operating agreement add-ons pay $169 before any state fee.

Does Bizee include a registered agent?

Every package includes one free year of registered agent service. Bizee's order form lists the renewal as a yearly charge after that, at the rate in the pricing table above. ZenBusiness bills its agent yearly from the start with no free year, and Stripe Atlas includes the first year then charges a lower yearly fee.

Bizee vs ZenBusiness: which is cheaper?

Both start free plus state fees. Bizee's paid packages are charged once, while ZenBusiness's Pro and Premium renew every year at their purchase price, and its agent is a yearly add-on priced above Bizee's renewal. Over two years with a professional agent, Bizee Standard costs $348 and ZenBusiness Pro $796, before state fees.

How long does Bizee take to form an LLC?

Bizee's order form puts Basic on the state's standard queue, four to six weeks in its wording, Standard at about two weeks and Premium at about four days. Expedited filing on Basic is priced by state. Stripe Atlas files in Delaware within 24 hours and ZenBusiness Pro offers 1-day processing.
