Business Banking Fees 2026: What Four Wires and Two SWIFT Transfers Cost
Four domestic wires and two international wires a month cost Mercury nothing, $360 a year at Rho, $984 on Relay Starter, and $1,320 on Bluevine Standard.

The monthly fee is the wrong line to rank. Mercury charges no fee of its own on four outgoing domestic wires and two international wires a month. That same mix is $360 a year at Rho, $984 on Relay Starter, and $1,320 on Bluevine Standard. The prices were read on October 17, 2026, and the years are our multiplication.
Finpresso data: the gap between the Rho year and the Bluevine Standard year is $960 on this mix. Financeradar data: 10 of the 14 checking accounts we verify charge no monthly maintenance fee, from figures read between August 11 and October 14, 2026. The average APY on the five accounts with a published rate is 0.36%, in a range from 0.01% to 1.10%.
That catalog is consumer checking, on the checking statistics page, and it does not price a business wire. Toolradar data: Mercury is listed as an alternative to 47 finance tools as of October 17, 2026, on the finance statistics page. The directory tracks 632 finance tools, and 196 of them have a free tier. Those labels are software, so a free tier there is not a free wire.
A business banking fee is the monthly account charge plus the price of a wire or a currency conversion. It is not a software seat, and it is not the yield on idle cash. Which account fits the operating books is a different decision, covered in the business bank accounts ranking.
What the entry plan costs on this mix
The mix is a US company that sends four domestic wires and two international wires a month, stays on the entry plan, misses every balance waiver, and does not convert currency, which is what a zero monthly sticker hides. International means the SWIFT line where the vendor prints one, and the USD international wire where that is the line instead. Same-day ACH and incoming wires are out, because this bill is what the company pays to send, and the year is twelve times the month.
| Account, read October 17, 2026 | Monthly fee | Outgoing domestic wire | Outgoing international | Year on this mix |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mercury | None | None | None on a USD wire. 1% if the wire is not in dollars | No Mercury fee |
| Rho | None | None | $15 on SWIFT, and 1% if the currency is not dollars | $360 |
| Relay Starter | None | $8 | $25 on SWIFT, or $5 on a local network | $984 on SWIFT, $504 if both international wires can go local |
| Bluevine Standard | None | $15 | $25 on a USD wire | $1,320 |
| Chase Business Complete | $15, unless one waiver holds | The checking page does not print a per-wire dollar | Performance and Platinum include a set number of outgoing wires | The monthly line alone is $180 when the waiver fails |
Chase cannot be totaled from the checking page, because the per-wire dollar sits in the Additional Banking Services and Fees document. Check that price before you treat the monthly line as the whole bill.
How each year is built
Domestic and USD international wires are included on every Mercury plan, so a dollar-only sender adds nothing on this mix and should leave once the wire is no longer in dollars, when the exchange percent in the table becomes the bill. The standard SHA code can still let intermediary banks take a fee out of what the recipient gets, so the vendor can be paid short of the invoice. The OUR code is a flat $15, worth using when the recipient must get the full amount, because two of those a month sit on a charge that was otherwise absent.
Mercury's paid plans do not change those wire lines. With the annual toggle on, Plus shows $29.90 a month and Pro shows $299 a month, and the toggle is labeled 15% off. The page's own answers say a paid plan starts at $35 a month, and the monthly Pro price beside that annual figure is $350, which buys invoicing, NetSuite categorizations, and a relationship manager rather than a cheaper wire.
Mercury Books is listed at $35 a month and waived until December 31, 2026, separate from Plus, so the waiver is not a bank-plan discount. The Mercury review covers the product, and the directory page is Mercury.
Rho costs $360 a year on this mix, and only because of SWIFT. Domestic ACH, wires, and checks have no Rho fee, and there is no monthly, per-user, or minimum-balance fee, so a US-only payer matches Mercury. Rho fits occasional SWIFT with domestic wires included, and it loses when the supplier can take a local network instead.
A recall on an international dollar wire is another $30, with no domestic recall fee, so only a payment you might pull back adds that second bill. Foreign-currency payments carry the exchange percent on their own row, so a SWIFT transfer that also converts should be read as both lines until the send screen shows one charge. Intermediary banks can add fees on international wires in dollars. Rho says international and foreign-currency payments are provided by Wise US Inc.
Relay Starter costs $984 a year when both international wires are SWIFT. The plan price is nothing until the per-wire schedule starts. Four domestic wires at $8 are $32, two SWIFT wires at the fee in the table are $50, and the month is $82. That is a poor trade against Rho, which does not bill the domestic half of this mix.
If both international wires can use the local network, those two drop to $5 each, the month falls to $42, and the year falls to $504. The $480 gap is the corridor: use the local rail when the supplier can, and ignore the lower year when they cannot. Incoming wires have no Relay fee on any plan.
The pricing page dates the savings APYs to September 17, 2026: 1.19% on Starter, 1.87% on Grow, and 3.21% on Scale, each beside a slightly lower interest rate, and the rates are labeled savings rather than checking. A balance of $82,689 at the Starter savings APY earns about that SWIFT wire year only if the rate holds and the cash sits in savings, not in checking. The Relay review is the product page, and Mercury vs Relay is the two-account matchup.
Bluevine Standard costs $1,320 a year on this mix, with no monthly fee, so the wires are the entire bill. Four domestic wires at the fee in the table are $60, two USD international wires at the fee in the table are $50, and the month is $110. That is the expensive end for a company that wires this often and will not hold a waiver balance.
Standard pays 1.3% APY on balances up to $250,000, so a checking balance of $101,539 earns about the wire year if the rate holds and stays inside the cap, while a smaller balance pays the wires out of pocket. Plus pays 1.75% up to the same cap, and Premier pays 3.0% on all balances. The Bluevine review is the longer product note, and the directory listing is Bluevine.
Chase Business Complete is the monthly fee in the table, $180 across a year when you miss the waiver, and the checking page still does not print the wire, so the monthly line is not the whole bill, which the Finpresso brief tracks.
When the paid plan costs more than it saves
Relay Grow is $30 a month and cuts the domestic wire to $5 and the SWIFT wire to $22. Four domestic wires are $20, two SWIFT wires are $44, and the plan pushes the month to $94, or $1,128 a year. That is higher than Starter, so buy Grow for approvals or account count, not to cheapen these six wires.
Scale is $90 a month, shown against a $120 price marked as a limited-time discount, and its domestic wire stays at the Grow domestic price while SWIFT falls to $20. The month is $150, or $1,800 a year, further from the entry plan rather than closer. Local-network wires are $3 on Grow and $1.50 on Scale, and even those cheaper rails do not pull the paid plans under Starter once the monthly fee is in the month, which is why Scale is for the higher savings APY.
Bluevine's paid plans discount the Standard payment fees, 20% on Plus and 50% on Premier, and the monthly fee is waivable only if two tests both hold. Plus is $30 a month unless the average daily balance across checking and sub-accounts is at least $20,000 and debit-card spending is at least $2,000. Premier is $95 a month unless that balance is at least $100,000 and debit spending is at least $5,000. A one-month trial waives the fee and the tests, then the fee starts.
On this mix, Plus wires are $12 domestic and $20 on a USD international wire. Four and two of those are $88 a month before the plan fee. Unwaived, the month is $118 and the year is $1,416, worse than Standard. Waived, the year is $1,056, which beats Standard by $264 only while both tests hold.
Premier wires are $7.50 domestic and $12.50 on a USD international wire, $55 a month before the plan fee. Waived, that is $660 a year, and only if both Premier tests clear. Unwaived, the plan fee lifts the year to $1,800, the same year as Relay Scale on the SWIFT mix, because of the monthly charge. Stay on Standard if the balance and the card spend will not hold.
What a $10,000 conversion costs
Currency conversion is a second bill, and it does not replace the SWIFT year above. The worked amount is one $10,000 payment in a currency other than dollars. Mercury's non-USD wire is 1%, so the exchange fee is $100, with no separate Mercury wire fee on top of that percent, and a dollar-only Mercury year becomes a real bill the moment the currency changes.
Companies exchanging more than $200,000 can ask about fees, a different tier than this payment. Card spending in a non-USD currency is 3% on every plan, so a card purchase is not this wire.
Bluevine prints a fixed fee plus a percent: Standard is the USD-wire fee in the table plus 1.5%, or $175 on this payment, Plus is $20 plus 1.25%, or $145, and Premier is $12.50 plus 1.0%, or $112.50. Contact sales before treating those rows as final on a larger book. Rho's foreign-currency row matches Mercury's exchange fee on this payment, and the SWIFT fee is a separate row, so add both until the screen shows one charge. Relay publishes a floor rather than a quote, so this page does not turn that phrase into a dollar fee, and the SWIFT or local wire fee still sits beside it.
Wise is the receive-and-send account, not this operating mix. Its US business pricing charges 31 USD once to open the feature set, and it does not print one outgoing price, because the send fee varies by currency. An incoming USD wire is a fixed 6.11 USD. Two of those a month are 12.22 USD, and twenty-four of them are 146.64 USD in a year, or 177.64 USD in year one after the setup fee.
An incoming GBP Swift payment is 2.16 pounds, and an incoming EUR Swift payment is 2.39 euros, priced in those currencies. Receiving a domestic, non-wire payment in USD is free on that page. The Wise review and Wise vs Payoneer cover the payout decision, and the directory page is Wise.
What Chase, Novo, and Brex actually print
Chase prints three monthly service fees on its business checking page, and how many wires are included, not the dollar for one wire. Business Complete is the monthly fee in the table, or nothing if one test holds: a $2,000 minimum daily ending balance, the same figure in eligible Chase QuickAccept or other eligible Chase Payment Solutions deposits, the same figure in eligible purchases on a Chase for Business credit card, a link to a qualifying private-client checking account, or Chase Military Banking. Miss every test and the monthly line is due, with no printed wire beside it.
Performance Business Checking is $40 or nothing if average beginning-day balances in qualifying linked business deposit accounts are $35,000 or more. It includes all incoming wires and the two most expensive outgoing domestic wires each statement cycle. This mix sends four domestic wires, so two sit outside that inclusion with no price on the checking page. Performance fits a company that already holds the waiver and sends fewer domestic wires than this.
Platinum Business Checking is $95 or nothing, waived at $100,000 or more in average beginning-day balances, or at $50,000 with a qualifying private-client checking link. It includes all incoming wires and the four most expensive outgoing wires, which covers this mix's domestic count and still names no price for a wire outside that inclusion. It fits a company that already holds the balance, and everyone else pays the monthly fee plus an unpublished wire.
The wire product page says fees may apply and does not print the amount. The per-wire dollar lives in the Additional Banking Services and Fees document linked from Chase's business disclosures, so check the current price on Chase's site before adding a wire to the monthly year in the table.
Novo's checking page prints no monthly maintenance fee, no minimum balance, and no fee on standard ACH, which saves money on ACH and says nothing about this wire. Express ACH is optional and the fee is shown before you send, so there is no list price to multiply. Outgoing wires may carry a fee, and the page points at a fee schedule without printing the dollar, so check Novo's site when the payment is a wire and treat a no-fee claim as the monthly line only. The Novo review and the free business checking ranking cover that monthly question, and the directory page is Novo.
Brex's pricing page is a software price, not a wire year. Essentials is nothing per user a month, and Premium is $12 per user a month. The page lists local-currency wires and publishes no account wire dollar, and a five-person Premium bill is $60 a month before any payment fee, a seat cost that stays out of the table, so skip Brex when the decision is the wire.
The Brex review covers the spend product, and the directory page is Brex. A supplier invoice, rather than a bank wire, starts at B2B payment platforms, and card acceptance is the separate schedule in Stripe vs PayPal fees.
What the consumer checking catalog does not answer
The Financeradar checking set is why a no-monthly-fee headline travels, and it is the wrong set for this bill. Eleven of the thirteen accounts with a published minimum can be opened with no minimum deposit, and all 14 state FDIC insurance. None of that prices a SWIFT wire for a company.
A founder outside the US has a prior question, which is whether the account will open at all. That comparison is the US business bank accounts for non-residents page. Relay's directory page is Relay, and Rho's is Rho.
How this was counted
We read the vendor pages linked in the table on October 17, 2026, and we multiplied only figures those pages printed. The year is twelve times the month. The month is the plan fee, if any, plus four times the domestic wire, plus two times the international line named in the row. Waived Bluevine fees are shown beside the unwaived year because the waiver is two tests, not a sticker. Relay's local-network year replaces only the two international wires. The $10,000 conversion uses each vendor's printed percent and fixed fee, and it skips Relay because "as little as 1%" is not a rate for that payment. Chase and Novo contribute the fees their pages print, and their missing wire dollars are left out of the year. The Financeradar counts were read on the checking statistics page on October 17, 2026. The Toolradar counts were read the same day on the finance statistics page. Louis Corneloup, who founded Toolradar and Dupple, edited this page. The rating method for reviews on this site is how we rate, and the corrections and sourcing rules are the editorial policy.
FAQ
What do business banking fees cost in 2026?
On four outgoing domestic wires and two international wires a month, with no fee waiver, Mercury charges no fee of its own, Rho costs $360 a year, Relay Starter costs $984, and Bluevine Standard costs $1,320. Those years use prices read on October 17, 2026. Chase Business Complete adds $180 a year when its monthly fee is not waived, and the per-wire dollar is not on the checking page, so that figure is only the monthly line.
Which account is cheapest for domestic and SWIFT wires?
Mercury is cheapest when the payment stays in dollars, because those wires are included and this mix adds no Mercury fee, and it stops being cheapest once the currency changes. Rho is the next published year, because domestic wires are included and only SWIFT bills, which suits a firm that rarely pays abroad. Relay's local-network year of $504 beats that Rho year only when both international wires can avoid SWIFT, and it costs more than Rho when they cannot.
Does a paid Relay or Bluevine plan lower this wire bill?
Relay's paid plans do not lower this bill, since Grow is $1,128 a year and Scale is $1,800, both above Starter's SWIFT year, because the monthly fee outweighs the cheaper wire. Bluevine Plus is $1,416 unwaived and $1,056 if both waiver tests hold. Premier is $660 if both tests hold and $1,800 if they do not. The waiver, not the sticker, decides whether the paid Bluevine plan wins.
How much does a $10,000 foreign-currency wire cost?
Mercury's exchange fee on this payment is $100, Bluevine Standard is $175, Plus is $145, and Premier is $112.50, each before any sales discount on volume. Rho's foreign-currency row matches Mercury's exchange fee, and its SWIFT fee is a separate line. Relay publishes a floor rather than a fee for this amount, and Wise does not print one outgoing price.
Does Chase business checking have a monthly fee?
Yes, unless a waiver holds: Business Complete's monthly fee is the one in the comparison table, avoided by any one of the tests on the checking page, including a $2,000 daily ending balance. Performance is $40 a month unless linked business deposits average $35,000. Platinum is $95 a month unless the average is $100,000, or $50,000 with a qualifying private-client link. The wire dollar is in the fee document, not on the checking page, so a missed waiver still leaves the Chase wire unpublished.
Is there a business account with no wire fee?
Mercury includes domestic wires and USD international wires, so a dollar-only sender pays nothing on this mix. Rho includes domestic wires and charges for SWIFT, so the no-fee claim stops at the US border. Novo prints no monthly fee and does not print a wire dollar on its checking page, so a missing monthly fee is not a missing wire fee. A non-USD Mercury wire uses the exchange percent in the table, and the optional OUR code is the flat fee in the Mercury section when intermediary fees should be charged back to Mercury.
